Yep my old Bird is 65, still a few laps of Europe in hers yet, that's if I can get in after March...

Nice to see folk using their bikes and racking up respectable mileages instead of changing them for the next big thing every year.

mines a 750cc manual.is that the standard seat base with a cut out? morocco was good,bike coped well apart from the front wheel being too small to cope with soft sand.flattened the gear shift dropping it on a rock,need to look into a folding tip option,i believe the only way is to cut the standard one and weld the end of a folding one on.had a kriega us20 on the frunk and a OS18 on the back seat which was a bit of a faff for fueling but not a great hardship.

Good commuter but would pull the skin off a rice pudding, I commend you for having the wherewithal to ride it for such a sustained period, I rode it once on a Honda demo day with a 15 mile loop, I was bored to tears within 3.

Yes its a back seat i got off ebay and butchered. (naked) DCT … ok its not a race blaster, but I often overtake the power ranger rocket men, when I catch them up at traffic queues or indeed, long distance work, .. as the little girl do slip in and out of traffic very sneakily, and is suited to comfy distance work.

I see you run a crf250l as well Gary, i ran both for a couple of years and it was a pretty good combination that covered everything. Ive bought a Himalayan to replace the CRF but have kept all the bits and may yet go back to buying another if the Himalayan does,nt work out.

This topic has got me thinking. Why do we change our bikes so frequently? Perhaps we need a 'bike mileage' topic?
