My final ride

Post by Nightwind15 »

Hello from the US,
Yesterday I took delivery of my last motorcycle. Having made almost 69 trips around the sun I picked up my new 2019 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT. I just got off a 2016 Triumph Tiger XCA and found the Tracer to be lighter and more nimble. Laugh if you like but while I just cannot push around the Super Tenere's any longer and the Tiger was a bit of a handful in tricky situations. This new Yamaha fits the bill for me and now to break it in and get all the little personal thing one must have to make it mine.
Thanks for adding me!

Congrats on you're purchase. I really like the tracers too I think they offer grew t value for money and looking at the vstrom I believe the build quality is better. Can't wait to see the 700gt too! hope you have some great tours on it

Amazing looks just like mine!!! :D I am doing this for the same reasons. My bike of choice was the FJR1300, had a 2015 model and it had become a bit much for the old atrophying musculature.

Stop messing with my head you lot! I have the S10 and like it still, FJ more focussed on longer trips, hmmm, Tracer, lighter, quicker, SHINEY. Be interesting what you think of it. 8-)

Haven't bothered to test gt but had a go on standard Tracer and luv the triple, then they went and released gt with cruise control and got it on 0%😁see a guy in Wells who went from S10 to Tracer and he luvs it!

Far more hero points gained by taking a Super10 properly off road though!
Big bikes on the trails represent a very different challenge. They will go pretty much anywhere, once you conquer the doubt. (Just don't ride alone in mud).

I bought a 700 Tracer in April ‘17 And did 10,000 miles on it. A wonderful bike I reckon. A cracking all rounder.
It got sold before our Australia trip.

The much rumoured 700 Tenere could be my next new bike when we get home....but that Guzzi V85.
