Indeed it should. I do these things deliberately to make the ride more interesting, and to make sure that everyone is paying attention.

Love mine, just does what you want with no electrickery to go wrong, batteries to fail, keys to lose. If you stall it when hot, pull in the decompressor and give it 5 kicks with no throttle, then release, never fails to start on mine

No worries. I know what a crap mechanic I am. I sold the bike over 3 years ago anyway. Well I took the dr for its mot yesterday ,and it went straight through no problem .it was my first few miles on her 40mile round trip to work and back it ran perfect but I do need some advice on tyres as it has road legal motocross ones on it which have to go.

If you want decent off-tarmac grip and acceptable road performance then Pirelli MT21 are good.
Their life depends on how hard you push them: hard braking and cornering on tarmac can destroy an MT21front quite quickly.
