Moto Guzzi V85TT
On the face of it...yes please.
The older I get the better Guzzi’s look.
But I know it probably doesn’t make sense.
When I get back from travelling though.
My 800GS is getting on a bit.
This is the first new bike in a long time that I’ve thought Wow! when I first saw it.

Re: Moto Guzzi V85TT
It looks to me like Piet Mondrian had a hand in the design.
My F800GS is getting long in the tooth, but I don't think one of these will be making an appearance in my garage.

I'd be more than happy to give one of them a go and I'd be more than happy to see one in the garage every morning when I opened the door.
Never ridden a Guzzi, so if I can test ride one without having head down to Weeegieland, I'll give it a go

Re: Moto Guzzi V85TT
Yes, I know what you mean. I know they are generally too heavy, underpowered, with crude gearboxes etc etc, but I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Guzzis. I always think that someone who has spent brand new money on a Guzzi is a proper biking enthusiast. They often have a quirky individual style that sets them apart. If only they had put the MGS01 into full production - one of the most beautiful bikes. And the Griso is an interesting bike I wouldn't mind trying. Think of a proper-looking cafe racer and you really should be thinking of the Le Mans Mk1/11. They just need to do a serious re-work on that old transverse twin and stop trading on past glories. The engines have a really low C of G which they should take advantage of more.
As to the V85TT, it's a bit mechano, but it would probably look quite cool in metallic grey/black/silver frame. The headlamps look great IMO - so much better than the awful BMW monacle things.

I've always fancied one of these. They look fantastic, imho. The 1200 Sport.

Re: Moto Guzzi V85TT
it looks very retro--and I like it--remember that the engine etc is pretty new so the old clunkiness has really gone now. I've done a few Guzzi rallies (on my Triumph tiger 1050 !)--great crowd and they actually use their bikes--and they work in the real world. It really depends on price but I think in that middle weight area its far better than the Triumph or BMW. However, I'm looking at downsizing and I think in the not to distant future I'm going for a secondhand kawa versys with full fairing--right seat height, lowish weight and 70 bhp--and loads out there with a good rep as far as I can tell--anyone want a 1050 tiger in white -2007 ?!! (nothing wrong with it at all--just fancy something lower and lighter as I get that little bit older--I still have two offroad bikes!
