Husqvarna 701

Post by Oblix »

Where is everyone located, everywhere i suppose!

If there was a good full day’s ride-out, where can the 701 get-along-gang meet and ride (on or offroad), maybe meet and do a section of the TET?

Idea’s?

Anyone stuck a small screen on the front?, looking for something small and easily removable that doesn't look like something off a goldwing but eases the cold blast to the chest when doing road stuff

Before I got the rade kit I had fabricated one to fit from an old bmw fairing. It fitted lovely just needed some spacer bolts to fit it. Then I decided just to buy the rade fairing!

Talking about fabrication I tried and couldn’t fit a tool tube anywhere decent to my 701. So I’ve fabricated my own after loosing the last one in a puddle somewhere in bretchfa with 50 quids worth of tools in.

So here’s my current fabrication but my mounts are rubbish. I guess 1mm thick steel is not good enough. I suspect 2mm won’t be either? Any suggestions on a decent way to mount it here?

Had my 2016 about 6 weeks now.
1 trip to France and a weekend at the Strata Florida
Loving it.
Not great on motorway but can't have it all.

Anyone here fed up with the rubbish location for tools on this bike. Also the inability of it to mount a tool tube on it anywhere that won’t be immediately compromised in an off....

I at least found that out when I lost £50 worth of tools somewhere in Bretchfa.. anyway I thought I’d try to make my own to fit the bike. So here it is, it’s not the prettiest of things but definitely functional!
