I got as far as sitting on one & it was a serious contender for road trips away with a bit of gentle off road. In the end I put my money down on a CCM, (mainly for the weight factor) so didn't bother test riding.

It's a very well designed bike but very tall if you're a short arse like me. Make sure you have an independent Ducati garage somewhere close, even then servicing costs are scary expensive & fairly regular

Interesting that Ducati have introduced bikes called 'Scrambler/Desert Sled'? As they have no history in either category?
Original 'sled's' were Harleys, and Indians. Then Triumphs became the bike of choice. Probably because they were faster, and easier to pick up!!

the modern 'Scrambler' from Ducati is an pretty accurate cosmetic pastiche of the original, as it happens.

Most of the Italian manufacturers of the 1960s/70s offered trail/enduro/street-scrambler versions of their road bikes.

Like the little gem that is the Moto Morini 125 Country
