That's what I thought. The G650GS is seeming the "sensible" choice.
Maybe use cozi70s idea and get a second set of wheels with Knobblys fitted??

two bikes for 4 k isnt that hard . you could get an older kel500 and a ktm 520 / 525 thats a road oriented bike with realbility and a enduro bike with a 6 speed gearbox which will be good for trails etc and the raod riding inbetween
All things built not bought . The only way is adventure .
