Evening all, non-biased opinions required!
PCP is up and I now have a few choices of what my next bike might be.
Currently have a Super Tenere which I've really enjoyed but, lifes too short to stick with the same bike! Budget is about £12k and ideally loking for new or pre-registered.
Test rode a couple so far:
2017 model Tiger 1200 - Nice but just not sure on the triple engine (think I must be the only one who doesnt like it!)
Africa Twin - Nice and really wanted to like this bike but I just find it a bit uncomfortable!
V-Strom 1000 - Nice engine but think it would be a step down from the S10
KTM 1090 - Not my cup of tea.......
Other options I'm considering are:
Ducati 950 multistrada
BMW 850GS (when its out)
Also wondering if a 3 year old BMW GSA would be worth considering (only it would probably have about 9k miles on it to start with). My reasoning being it might be worth more in the long run than the others.......
Thoughts? Opinions? Suggestions? Experiences?
Choices, choices....

Re: Choices, choices....
Save a bundle of cash ... buy a nearly new KTM 1190 R for under £10k
All the bike you will require - and miles better than any Panzer too
But just my 2p worth

If a Hammer don't fix it - you have an electrical problem

Hard to beat the vstrom
Only thing it struggles with is it's image
As you said most people think it's a "step down" - but if you buy on bike rather than image it's as good if not better than the others
For me it would be that or the Tenere

Re: Choices, choices....
Depends what sort of riding you do. I do mostly on road on my Multistrada 950 (I once took a wrong turn and ended up down a trail in France and I tried some forest trails in Switzerland) and it's been fab. They are quite expensive but I think the quality shows. It's about to go in for its first major service at 9000 miles and I've been quoted £230. Take a test ride.
Don't know about the new GS850 but the old one was also excellent and I think, a hard bike to better, but the Ducati does. I think the Super Ten will also be difficult to beat too.
Happy hunting
