I used to be a scooter boy, but haven’t owned one since the early 90’s. I keep looking though as I’m approaching my 50th and may buy a GTS300 before long as part of my second mid-life crisis (I got a new wife at 39  )

Proof that we all don't really need as much as we think we do?

No I never pray in the evening...

Actually I love 'em. Had an ET4 125 for a while back in the UK and it was perfect for commuting or just hoofing about on. Well built too - proper metal bodywork unlike most of the alternatives. I'm pretty sure I'll get a GTS300 at some point - they look brilliant.

I've had a few scooters, Lambretta and Vespa in the 80's. Then some modern ones, I like the practicality and ease of use.
I once had a Gilira 830, V twin, Good Grief what a thing!
It was Piaggio's revenge on Audi for all the small scooters pushed into the gutter by company reps. in A4's.
Just less than 80 bhp but very aerodynamic.....a genuine 130 mph and 0-60 in 5.7 seconds.
I rode it to Bulgaria and back, aside from having to weave around Balkan pot-holes it was fantastic, fast and very comfy with great weather protection.

Not a Vespa but do have a scooter as the knackered hips make it very difficult to get on and off a bike
It is not what or where you ride that make it an adventure :D
