Re: Vespa
I think I could find room in my garage for one of these:
But sadly the owner knows where I live ...
All together now, "Burble burble burble ..."

Re: Vespa
That is one weird looking mother... A kind of '59 Cadillac scooter. Is that La Pobla I recognise?
Re: Vespa
did rather fancy a Heinkel Tourist in the 60's but had a Zundapp Bella which was a good alternative, then brought a Vincent Comet in bits for £10 and rebuilt it to use through university. More recent years scootering I had a BSA Sunbeam 250 and a Honda CN250.

Re: Vespa
Right both times, well about La Pobla anyway. The scoot is a Heinkel Tourist that was advertised in the US of A as the Cadillac of Scooters and in Britain as the Rolls Royce ...daveuprite wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2018 8:03 am That is one weird looking mother... But it's 'home' is in Tremp where there's a very tiny Classic Bike Club. I'm actually the king about adding something like a Ducati Strada to the stable and joining the other old geezers for Sunday rides - usually ending up in the Lambretto bar!
You see the veritable Lamby in it's grace just beyond the bar and a brilliant photo form the 'sixties down at the back - sadly they don't do chip butties, no idea how to live these foreigners don't ye know!
I'll take you there for a jar when you come to the HISS in May Dave ...

Re: Vespa
Got some pics hear plus one of the lambretta as well
So I’ve put the forks in, head set on,
replaced the bearing races in the forks and dust covers also replaced the bearing,
Put the engine back in on a new race adjustable rear shock,
Engine has been fully rebuilt,
Going to do some more tomorrow, I would to get all the cables in tomorrow and all the new wheels bearing and seals in,
I’ll keep you posted
