If you've ever owned a TS, TM, RM, TC, DR or DR-Z

This

is how it all began.

Together with some technology that 'defected' from MZ (read Stealing Speed by Mat Oxley) but they obviously wouldn't mention that.

Thank you Richard, I’ve never seen that film before. I love those caps that the Suzuki mechanics are wearing.

Great vid - thanks for posting.

Impressively quick riding considering the equipment.

I'd love to transport a 2018 KTM EXC300 in a time machine back to those meets and hand it to one of the factory riders. It would blow their mind.

Nice one, reminds me of the Hants Grand National Motocross that ran about 5 miles from my place back in the late 70's/early 80'.

My first field bike was a TS100 then had a few others + a couple of RM's and a PE400 over my first ten or so years of riding. No team yellow in the garage now, a green KDX sits there instead : (

TS185, TS250, DR350 and a DRZ400e, for me.
I wonder what the top bikes/riders will look like 40-odd years from now?
Interesting pronunciation....."Fenland" for Finland...I genuinely at first thought the opening race was in Lincolnshire!
The 70's were a fantastic time to be a tobacconist.

where was that--near Winchester of Newbury--I used to marshal as a kid but the location is faded memory.

Loved that Richard, big trip down memory lane, my TS250 was a great bike in its day and can be seen today, fully restored in M&P Swansea !!

Thanks Richard, great old movie
My first legally on the road bike was a Suzuki K11 trail bike in 1969 and in later years a new DR350 from Taylors, pictured in the Picos.

It was near Ringwood at a place called Plumley of the B3081 road to Verwood, they still run a leg of the British Rally Championship over some of the same land, I think he last HGN there was about 84 or 85 although my memory is a bit faded as well. Was great being able watch to the likes of Dave Thorpe and Graham Noyce wrestling their mighty two strokes around the same tracks we used to sneak out onto as kids.
