I'd be tempted on my wee dr350 but its more so when I occasionally clean it I can do a quick visual while I'm at it, but I'm lazy

I can't imagine anything worse! It will show the scratches and all the crud you have not wash off under the plastic. Crazy. Looks like you have just got home from a Tupper wear party.

Quite like the idea and could see it looking ok on my trail bike, but have doubts on it's long term resistance to UV exposure

Good idea from a maintenance point of view.

But what would they look like in six months scratched grazed you would soon be looking for a set of decals to cover them all.
Unless it came with pull offs similar to Motocross goggles.

If I knew measurements I could possible build a set of decals to cover them I have my own plotter / cutter were I make my decals and vinyl stickers so wouldn't be a problem for me I suppose but still clear isn't the thing for me maintenence and cleaning yea you could see were you have missed etc but I just couldn't imagine seeing all the wiring ecu relay etc what tend to be covered by plastics and then the front light with all its wires etc defiantly think it's a marketing thing

Model RC cars have a clear body shell that you paint inside, so stickers on the inside 😂

So if I did my decals flip side they would always look new as they wouldn't scratch off due to dropping and then I could just spray over the decal with paint and colour the plastic sounds interesting but still wouldn't go clear ...
