Where can I test ride a 690 Enduro??

Evening all.

After a doing a few stretches of the TET this summer on my 800GS I'm thinking of going for a 690 for more off-road orientated travelling next year.

Being a bit late to the party however I've realised there's no 2018 model in the dealers due to the introduction of the 701 Husky. And the dealer closest to me doesn't have a 690 demo anymore as they're waiting on the 701.

As such I'm in a bit of a quandary as to how I'm likely to get an initial impression of the bike without bothering anyone who's selling theirs when there's a fair chance I may decide against after one ride. Don't want to be f***ing anyone about pretending to be interested in buying just for a go.

So, are there any dealers out there near you lot that do still have a 690 to test? Even if it's a second hand one.

Hi jersey, they had one at PGH Torquay about a month ago, don’t know if it’s still there it had been lowered quite a bit.
I guess it’s a case of phoning around the ktm dealers and asking. Where in Somerset are you?
I guess if you’re covered by your own insurance come down to plymouth and try mine out, it’s a 2014- BUT I ain’t selling as it’s a awesome bike.

I think I remember someone doing off-road training days on them somewhere, could be a good thing a days training and you get to try the bike out

Thanks for the info about the training school. Can't see any dates on the website yet for upcoming training dates but a good option.

Will give PGH a call in the morning and see if they've still got a 690, can't spot anything on t'internet.

Hi Jersey you have to click the booking option, I just looked at stage 1 £245 then clicked 690 bike option and they have the 25th nov as a date.

Like I said I love mine some people don't like them but its a good way to try them out

PGH don't have one, I was in there last Saturday and Lee confirmed there will be no more. So it's a 701 or a good second hand one, if you can find one
