Whyte Friston for the peelers

Post by The Wobbler »

Hi All
I know it has no motor but I just thought I post new new steed to accompany the old Africa Twin

After some toe rag made off with my favourite road cycle and an insurance pay off, I decided to treat myself to one of the new breeds of Adventure Bicycle.
Its a Whyte Friston and it really does what is says.
Its far better on the road than my mountain bike and far better off road than any road bike has the right to be.
A true all rounder just like my 30 year old Africa Twin

(Shame then my 52 year old lungs and legs don't match honda's lusty v twin)
If your thinking of this type of cycle to keep some fitness and explore the lanes I can throughly recommend the Friston
Its great on forest tracks and gets to the forest a lot easier than a mountain biike
Truth is I have not tried many other makes as my local cycle shop offered me a 1/3rd off the bike on the day as it was the shop display bike and a 2017 bike not the new 2018
Cheers

I have a Whyte 905 MTB and ridden the Friston. Excellent bike. Whyte applied their MTB knowledge to make a great adventure bike. Good choice on both bikes
