Yamaha T7

Post by phil.hughes1983 »

Does anyone know any definitive information on this bike i.e release date and propsed price range ?
as when I google about it all it seems to be is old news.

I have read that it's supposed to be possibly November there may be some more news or a release date ?

I'm tempted if it's out soon as looking for a new overland style bike. A bit of 2up touring. Weekend trips etc.

Will keep the 690 for the muddy stuff.

It seems not, it was expected to be the T7 but now looks like it's a quad announcement !!

WTF ! A fecking quad, shirley no. Although, in saying that if it was the T7 they'd ramp it up much more than they have, so may well be the case.

Well as nice as quads are. Not exactly what the British market wants.

You mean the new Tenere I suppose, the T7 is not going into production, it was just a concept bike, shame really, on paper It appeared to be the bike I would love to build

There's is a big article in one of the motorcycle magazines about 6 pages long and there's been many photographs taken of a bike that is covered up on test ride that looks like it could be the t7 but it is different from the concept bike thou that's for sure no apravoic exhaust different swing arm by looks of to so there will be something in 2018 with the way the magazine writes about it .it's gonna be a version of the t7 but I'd say more road oriented even though yamaha keep saying there gonna build something more offroad that can do the road miles as all other manufactures seem to make them more road orientated rather than off road ..

The T7 was a concept, but i expect Yamaha know full well that a production bike true to this concept wont sell in big numbers.....
So, as we already have the Tracer 700, i'm expecting a Tenere MT07, which will be a watered down T7. Then there will be the inevitable, usual moaning that its too heavy. But to make it light enough would push the cost too high for decent sales numbers.

But who knows, i might be way out....... i'm certainly interested to see what this bike may or may not be.
