Yamaha Tenere 700

Powered by the MT-07’s 75bhp twin, the Tenere will be fractionally less powerful than the Tiger or F800GS, but it’s also likely to be cheaper and, importantly, lighter, making it a more tempting proposition for off-road use. Just like its forefathers were. The use of that engine means that an A2 licence legal, 47bhp version is sure to be available as well.

Unlike the T7, there are twin front discs at the bottom of upside-down forks that look like they might be borrowed from the MT-09. The aluminium swingarm is new and unique to the Tenere,

Interesting times, there is also the KTM 790 ADV coming and the all new GS850 (900)?
Is the Tenere 700 just a little too weedy for motorway work though?

Wouldn't have thought so, my 125 fares ok on motorways so I can't imagine a 700 would have any problems

My Wife did 250 miles of mainly motorway yesterday on her MT07 at 120kph with no problems (thumbs)

I used to do loads of motorway in European my 660 Tenere with no issues at all.

The 700 engine is perfectly comfy on motorways ( more than can be said for the seat on my XSR) ..it will cruise all day at 80 ....it will also return over 60mpg even in my hands....

I like to be nearer to 160KM/H on the motorway ;)
