Re: UK CRF500L #2 Build Thread
First offering up pic. Waiting for the tube separation couplers to arrive from states now. There is quite a bit of work involved to get the rear lower mounting looking as it needs to be. We are aiming to have no secondary brackets involved with one long bolt left to right fitment plus a spacer bobbin.

Oh, this is what happened to the 250L motor. Of 'Monkey Bike' proportions it's gonna sit on the back of a campervan...!!

Re: UK CRF500L #2 Build Thread
Kind words Minks, with no real testing done yet your best go on advrider and check out the other guys build threads, theres loads of relevant info on the performance of the bike, gearing and torque characteristics and so on..... Needless to say I am very very excited at getting to grips with this bike. It's way down on power and what i'm used too but offering an all round 50/50 dual sport aspect appeals.....minkyhead wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2017 10:58 am looks very neat and tidy brilliant job .. deffinatly appeals in many ways

Re: UK CRF500L #2 Build Thread
Hi flipdog, what a great thread this is, big congratulations on completing your project, looks awsome, and I'm sure it will be up to the job. I've had a crf250 and loved the bike, so much so I intend getting a rally next year sometime. I ride with Minkyhead quite regularly, but not yet had a go on his crf300. I'm free on Sunday if you want to have a run out for a few hours, I normally meet at Houndsgill farm in consett, it's a bunkhouse we use, but there is a tea room there for a sarnie, coffee and a bit crack before setting off. The trails start from there, but I can meet anywhere that suits you really. I live in kelloe, Durham so quite local to you. I'll pm you my number and get in touch if you can make a run out on sun.
Re: UK CRF500L #2 Build Thread
Hi flipdog, tried a couple of pm’s , don’t look like they are sending.
So my number is 07855505192 if you want a local run out for a few
Hours, sun is probably best for me, but can do one tomorrow if that
Suits, let me know, regards Neil.
