I have had a few hours off from the usual.
Went on to U tub for a look around.
Please check Honda C90
This made me think of all the Thousands of pounds spent on Bikes and kit.
Panniers cost more than the trips most have.
So much fun for little cash.
The biggest selling Bike of all time.
Will go anywhere (slow I grant) best MPG and runs for ever.
For the price of a new- BMW or KTM or other, a world trip would be free.
Just my opinion.

Re: Adventure bike?
Its not about what you do, its about what others think you do. Spend 25k on a GSA and people think you ride the world even if you only go to Tesco. Spend 1.5k on a DR and people think it's cheap transport for work when you actually cross continents at least a couple of times a year. We've all bought things for the image they give rather than whether its suitable for our needs.
Current bike is a Yamaha T7
Re: Adventure bike?
best you look up the price of a good c90 ! you can ride any bike any where . its about being out there what matters not the cost. I have a gs and a c90 and both bring the next town nearer just at a different speed. its about smiles per mile (thumbs) (thumbs) when we started out on mopeds life seemed simple then you found speed and power ..
Re: Adventure bike?
This same old type of post comes up time and again when someone comes across another bike that will ride further than the local post office, we get it, in fact we all got it a long time ago that any bike will do, its not about the bike.

Re: Adventure bike?
I bought my K100LT for €1,000 in 2010.
Three years later I bought my K100RT for €1,000 and it came with a K100RS.
Same time a friend sold a C90....... for over €2,000.
But you can ride anywhere on any size bike.
If I had the €25,000 for a GSA I would see it as the price of a very long trip on the K instead.......

Re: Adventure bike?
€25k, and lets not confuse touring and adventure riding. Any bike can tour, but only certain bikes (unless heavily modified) can do what is regarded as 'adventure riding'.
ETA: €23.487,33 without luggage

Re: Adventure bike?
That's fine if that's what you want then go for it, and while there seems to be a bit of a trend at the moment to own a bogger, I don't want one.
However a Honda wave with all the tuning bit's from Thailand would be fun for a short while
