Very nice and it's British things have changed so much but I bet the owners that have harder over the years have still got a smile on there faces

Lovely old machine.
I assume it's got (appalling) drum brakes but what are the discs around the spokes?

The disc on the offside of the wheel is the brake. Its a'v' groove and a rubber brake block is pushed down into it.
The parts are no longer available for them so owners have to make their own. I once rode a friends 1913 flat tanker 250 bsa and was suprised how effective it was. Mind the rubber block didnt last very long

Often called Dummy Belt pullies .... Originally the only brake would be on the back wheel, a rubber brake block pushed into the groove on the Belt-drive pulley.
