Its a great machine. Yes, they vibrate a lot when you first start riding them, but as others have said (and I can't work out why), after about 30km it became a lot smoother. Loads more poke compared to my XT600, quite happy cruising at 130kph for almost 90 minutes. Its also a lot less tiring than the XT.gebrauchtwagen83 wrote:Nice bit of kit. How do you find it?

Re: Finally bought a real adventure bike
Its a bike I looked at and road tested some months back. He wanted a different bike, his wife said if he sold the KTM he couldn't have another, so he removed the advert after I had seen it. He said he would sell it to me as I had travelled 2hrs to see it, otherwise he would keep it. So once i'd sold my ZX10R, I pestered him about the bike and had almost given up when he wrote back and said he was now ready to part with it. Its a 2003 with just 25,300km from new. When I first saw it, it had some worn out Karoo 3's, but he's recently fitted a pair of TKC80's, new chain and sprockets and a KTM dealer service. It comes with a bag of spares including spare air filter, center stand etc. He's replaced the headlight bulbs with HiD's, and every other bulb is now LED. The only negative so far is he has fitted a switch to manually operate the 2nd radiator fan. He said it was getting too hot in traffic, but on the 2hr ride home, i could tell the problem was the thermostat opening early. I'll order a new one from the local dealer this week. I am looking for pannier racks and a roadbook carrier if anyone has any?videoman wrote:Great looking bike, tell us more.
