Well spotted Mick, it's lovely up there. The Himalayan is a great bike for the money but I do wish it was a 600/650 sometimes.

Love mine .... no brainer of a motorcycle ...... just ride it ... its not an ego trip for the plastic spaceship brigade ... it's a motorbike ... as a former 36K a year motorcycle commuter i recognise it's pluses and minuses ...... but it's probably the best bike I've ever had ... not the biggest, fastest, most expensive .... but the best.
Spend £12K on your BMW Adventure bike .... but you will have adventures on your Himalayan and the change to travel across the planet .... not that many of the BMW Adventure bikes ever leave the motorway .....

I’m with you there Landsurfer. I’ve not tried a Himalayan yet but was in India earlier in the year where I rented a Enfield Bullet - not quite the same thing, I know, but really enjoyed just getting on the bike and riding it - everything worked well enough and nothing to worry about in technological terms. Just go to the Kurviger route planning site and select the very curvy option!

For anyone who thinks these bikes might be dull, they're not. I chased Nathan Millward on his the full distance of the rollercoaster at sweet lamb a few months ago and i was on my KTM 300 TPI. Yes the back of his Himalyan was all over the place, but he was really going on it. Don't think you're gong to find the limits of this bike easily or quickly.
