Quite a few do it, mine too. You could join the Royal Enfield Himalayan Owners UK FB page, they have some ideas. I am hoping its a cold ambient temperature thing that will disappear when it gets a bit warmer. Its 10c here tomorrow and I'm off for a big run, report to follow.

Common fault and an easy fix. There are a couple of tutorials floating around on how to sort it - screen off and tape up the wiring port into the clocks, or something like that. It's been covered a dozen times on either advrider.com or on the Himalayan owners Facebook group. Have a search.

Don't do faceberk, but taping up the ports is a good idea .. .... I'll remove the binnacle and position the port uppermost and apply some warm air to remove the moisture trapped in there ... then seal it ... many thanks ...

I am starting to have corrosion issues with the bike. Lambda sensor, frame tappings, and now the "Stainless Steel" front disc is corroding inside the swept area of the calliper.
We are not even at the "salt on the roads" time of the year yet ...
The gritters are still tied up ..
The bike is washed and WD 40'd after each ride ... my first winter looks like it's going to busy maintenance wise ...

Do you have any images Landsurfer so we can see what we need to keep an eye out for?

So far the finish on mine seems to be holding up. I have done just over 3000 miles of commuting in all weathers, including the few occasions when the gritters have been out. I wash it every week or two with a wash and wax formula and spray some cheap household polish and a bit of WD40 on some of the vulnerable bits. There are a couple of bolts I have some concerns about and the quality of coating on the pannier frames does not look as good as the rest of the bike, but otherwise it seems okay. It has certainly held up better than my CCM did with the same treatment and seems easier to clean as well. I will wait and see what it is like at the end of the winter.
Cheers Jak

The Hyma is currently the second-best selling bike in the 125 - 600 category in the UK!

I'll be the first to say it...WD40 isn't very effective. ACF-50 is the product to use.
