Wheres the second hand bike market in Northern Ireland !
Since i broke my shoulder last year ive been looking for a replacement bike. Did not think it would be so hard. I dont want to buy new again and since my right arms pretty messed up i was looking for something middle weight. There is nothing on the market here. Not even a F800 in the main BMW dealers. Plenty of heavy weights, GS1200, Triumph Explorers, Yam S10s, ect. Do people hang on to the smaller bikes more or perhaps its to early in the season for the second hand bikes to be hitting the market. Dosent seem to be the same problem in the mainland dealers though. I envy you guys, it seems you can pick up a second hand machine of the type and colour when you want......Maybe i should move back over the ditch again.....Sry for the rant. Tad frustrated lol.

Mac, the last couple of bikes I have bought have been bought in England! I had the same problem, could not find the bike I wanted over here or if I did it was usually over priced.Budget flights are cheap and as you know £45 brings it back over on the Stranraer ferry.

Thanks mate, looks as if thats the only way to go. Seems that over here you buy what you can get as opposed to what you want. Just bought a GS1200Adv in Gloucester a few weeks back.
Flew out with EasyJet to Birmingham £46. Back via Holyhead to Dublin ferry £56
Left at 9am but didn't get home until 1:30am, but saved a small fortune :woohoo:
Ps even sold the Gs1100 without advertising it B)
If I'm not online.............
I'm probably out on the Bat Bike

Thanks Heff, my main concern is if my right arm and shoulder would hold up to a long trip yet. :unsure:Heff wrote:Totally agree. I'm just waiting for a mot cancellation for a 2009 xt660z here in ards and then it will be up for sale, but that may not suit.
Hurst sale man told me recently they can't get enough used stock in as new sales have fallen in recent years.

Hursts just sent out an email and text mail shot looking for second hand bikes so that backs up your theory.
I traded in my 800 to them when I changed to the 1200 and my bike was sold near enough as soon as I had walked out the door.
