New Triumph 800 Adventure Bike

Post by Alun »

Right then, what price do you reckon Triumph are going to pitch the new 800 adventure bike at? It's obviously aimed at the BMW 800 market and a new GS 800 is £7650 (including VAT and on the road charges).

The nearest guess gets a pint when I meet them.

I'm going for £6995

£6795

I wish I could see some pictures and more details of this new bike. I am very interested. I would be tempted by the BMW 800 but the 16l usable tank is no use really.

There are 'spy' shots in last weeks MCN. 'Spy' meaning meticulously planned and set up by the Triumph PR department and MCN journalists. Looks very BMWish.

£7695

it's gonna depend on what standard kit it's supplied with.
If it's as good as Triumph can make it a realistic price would be in line with the beemer.

Triumph are second only to Harley in offering extras to go with their models. Should be interesting to see what's on offer.

Shame they lost their way with the 1050 Tiger, great engine.

Euro 4 emissions are to blame apparently: I understand that Hinkley didn't keep up the revamps, so now it's all but obsolete in compliance terms.

TBH I think that this 800-900 cc size will really start to pick up: seems to be category that is easier to bring in line with legislation, whilst still giving people performance similar to what they want.

It's a great size for the overlander or Adv bike enthusiast, mind...

My guess, plucked from fresh Estonian thin air, is....

I'll go with £7999 OTR. I don't think it'll be cheap, but I do think it'll be a great one up tourer/adventure bike.

I agree it should be a good alternative to the F800 GS, i think they will position it directly in line but offer extra kit, so i am going for £7595 including a set of panniers;)
