Have a 2014 Adventure, best bike I have ever owned, I currently have 5 having just sold 3. Does everything I need, super comfy 1000 miles from Southern Germany to Newark in one day fully loaded on way back from 3 week trip around Europe. No problems so far just put fuel in it and have fun.

Had my 2016 1190R for 5 months now. 9000 miles on it. New alternator under warranty. Apart from that its been faultless. Like a sports bike on the road and a big enduro on the trails.

Bought mine new in January and cant fault it. The KTM section on the ADVRider forum has lots of info on what goes wrong but its nothing to worry about if you buy a well maintained secondhand one. I've crossed europe on mine and ridden it in all weather, the abs and traction control are the best I've experienced on a bike. I found it a bit heavy and tall at first (I'm 5'9") and it took a few hundred miles of constant riding to really gel with it. The power is unreal but very controllable and the suspension is top drawer.

Go for it!
