lack of tool storage although you get a good tool kit, i adapted a cheap bike tool fender bag and used some ali flat plate to create a clamp from inside the bag to under the rack, this then does not mean any drilling to the rack, covered the ali in gaffa tape to make it look nice, the 4 holes that the bag had i just put a pot rivet in to block them up

Re: WK400 owners thread.
My next issue was a hard or tight throttle, i know it has a double cable but it just felt stiff when riding ans made my wrist ache, although it did spring back when released it was not as crisp as it should be so set about stripping the throttle down, basic checks, new oil down the cables and all seemed fine until i put it all back and put this odd screw just behind the rubber grip back in as it was very tight against the white throttle guide inside and without it in very light and crisp throttle. To be honest i cant see what its designed to do the throttle works fine without it, its not to guide the cable, its not a throttle stop so ive left it out and filled the holes with waterproof grease for the time being to see how it goes
Re: WK400 owners thread.
i also found after a longish ride the bike would on occasion cut out on overrun up to lights or a junction, after a bit or head scratching and some late night internet searching i found that fuel caps now have to meet the wacky world of the EU and not vent into the air. Now long story short, this gasket may not be made that well and prevents the air pressure balancing itself in the tank and with a small vacuum the fuel pump struggles thus cutting the engine. The bike always started immediately after cutting because with the engine stopped the vacuum would re balance i think. Any how fuel cap off, take apart, mind the small bits, springs, screws etc, take out gasket, reassemble, so far no cutting out.........
Re: WK400 owners thread.
the great thing with this bike apart from the price is it also comes now with a center stand, back in 2015 it didn't apparently, its a bit of an odd shape but cant complain and to help keep the stand in good condition i used some silicone tube and some large shrink tube and put in on as shown , may not last long but easy to replace

You seem like you're pretty happy with this WK400, how many miles you done on it now ?netsonic wrote:My shiny bike
I went to have a look at one of these a couple of months back. I was quite impressed with it for a Chinese bike, especially as at the time i could have bought it brand new for £2.5K.
In the past i haven't had much respect for Chinese bikes, but i keep wondering whether i should have bought this one.
Re: WK400 owners thread.
Thanks for all the tips. Liking these more and more and the money saved on something more elaborate can go into decent navigation , usable bling etc

If you need a case saver, call your local Honda dealer and pretend you have a 2015 Honda NX400 Falcon import bike. Ask for part number 11352-MBV-00 (cost ~£11.21) and a few weeks later it should turn up.
