Welcome Alan, I'm a recent joiner too - just got my WK a couple of weeks back and am loving it so far.

Not much progress here yet (been very wet and the bike is kept outside) although have found someone local to lower the seat next week. Ironically the WK cut out on me on the way into the business park the seat man's unit is in which had a VERY steep entrance so I got to try my first hill start with toes barely touching the floor. Managed ok and overall I'm getting used to the height and it's mostly just adjusting to it but definitely want to lower it before going off road.

I've been reading reviews of tyres and so far am considering:

TCK80
Maxxis Maxicross IT
Michelin Anakee wild

thanks netsonic and paulf really happy with the bike had the cutting out issue after a few days so removed the gasket and drilled the hole in the plate, all seemed to be ok until sunday when it cut out and wouldnt move . turned out to be a faulty side stand sensor. as i commute to work during the week and play at the weekends the bike is getting alot of daily use averaging 40+ miles a day and alot more at weekends, still finding my feet with the bike and making the odd alteration like the bulbs and spark plug which netsonic mentioned in previous post to great effect.

I'd consider Vee Rubber tyres...they are great on lower-powered trail bikes and very easy to fit.

Beat almost every other Enduro tyre in a Trail Bike Mag test a few years back.

They were original equipment on my Gas Gas when I bought it new...and I thought, oh God, these will be rubbish. Far from it. Very good on-road and off: and much of the miles were done in Gloucester/Wilts where there's a real mix of clay, stone and chalk. Replaced with more of the same when they eventually wore out.

Thank you Richard! Especially since I'll be mostly riding in Gloucestershire too. Those are now on the list too :)

Owner's Manuals

Found these while hunting about, neither for the WK exactly but might still be useful. The first one is for the Shineray-Xy400-2, but the engine looks the same to me?

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/13585 ... 400-2.html

This is for the Mash Adventure 400, but has a section for the carburettor so not all will apply:
