Re: CRF250 L thread
I do not know why people ask technical questions on this forum.........If robson just writes a SHORT sentence saying what he does not know, then we can PM him directly!!!
Re: CRF250 L thread
so why do people bother to buy a ejk,,thingmy...and can this trick be used a previuosly used bike...i am coming from a point of complete ignorance in these mattersrobson wrote:actually it's like 15 minutes, this is called 15 minutes idle reset after some major changes.motorbike wrote:i was told by a dealer if you fit a full system to a new bike.start her up for the first time run her for 10 mins the the bike recognises the system and fuel adjusts for same automatically ?
ECU should adjust, to a degree.
Re: CRF250 L thread
this is the common misconception by people who never ridden off-road, because when doing technical off-road we are quite often at the low revs.minkyhead wrote: the o/2 sensor reads air fuel ratios and relays the info to the ecu at idle and low revs the ecu can adjust the a/f ratio at low settings of the throttle this closed loop monetering ..the 02 sensor on the honda are whats called narrow band so only deal with lower revs and tickover ..the is absalutly no advantage to disconnecting it as it does nothing to the higher fueling demand in the rev range and is there to adjust the a/f ratio at low revs and idle
Besides o2 sensor doesn't read air/fuel ratios, it just simply generates few volts when there is difference in oxygen level between outside air and gases in exhaust. That's it.

Just a thought for you crf250L owners don't any parts fit from the crf250x? Especially suspension wise, the x model has great suspension, must be a good supply of second hand parts as its been in production for over 10 years.

Re: CRF250 L thread
I was wondering this too .. as I have some spares from my previous crf250x which I owned for nearly a whole week before I got sore with it, in arrears. I read that the mudguards don't quite fit, without cutting, and of course the engine is completely different as the L uses the old cb250 engine.felco wrote:Just a thought for you crf250L owners don't any parts fit from the crf250x? the front forks are narrower by a couple of mm so the tree thingies (fork clamps) would have to be changed, at least. I doubt that the rear shock would fit? the seats are completely different ... in short, its a completely different bike?
