i dont agree with the waiting till the problem is solved then get new spokes...claim honda now.then again if the issue still occurs..dont let the shits get away with anything...maybe they arent working on the problem maybe they are briefing there lawyers for a get out clause

even my cheap china bikes dont have rusty spokes, and they have been ridden through salted norwegiean winter roads and swamps!
keep contacting honda and making sure that you have reported it and its gone on record.
they should test these things out, the problem is they only test metal with damp conditions and they dont do "real world" tests so to speak (salt, brake pad dust, mud that sort of thing)

Ok, Ok..... I will be giving the dealer a ring this week then! I suppose it is better than waiting for Honda to find a get out clause/excuse

Ah, the beauty of a £100 set of chain and sprockets changed in 1/2 hour.

That's taking weight reduction too far.
All this to change the oil filter?
Decided to fit a lighter XR650 motor.
Bugger, disc lock, padlock and chain, alarmed, then the flipping motor gets nicked.
Reward offered for return of missing parts.
Probably being broken for spares.
I do know where there is a Matchless 350 motor going spare at sensible money if you need it.
