Thanks boys (thumbs) I really would like to own one of these but this just highlights my short fall in knowledge. When I get some more time it could be a steep leaning curve but fun :)

I think I've seen this one shortly after it lost it's sump on some welsh rocks.
The area looked like the "Torrey Canyon" had passed through! :lol:

Garry's bike is a very trick example, the construction of the special subframe to encompass the vertical shock, is a work of art in itself (thumbs)

great to see these bikes ............i have got some great ideas to build a rear subframe tank system on one ,plus alot more ,just need a donor bike :-)

I had a look at an R80 G/S (not for sale) last night and it's a fair amount of work to bring one up to anything like what I desire, I think it will be easier to work harder and longer and buy one ready to ride as I have enough projects.[/quote]

I'm not so sure I'd meet the contractual stipulations regarding maintenance and cleaning schedules. :-)
That and yours is to nice to start modifying.

Yep, that was a while back Rob on one of the ADV welsh weekends, I may have even bought you a shandy in the pub later :lol:
