Ha, there's a story - plenty who ride Adv bikes because they like the style and comfort as a road tourer, that's why I ride a 1150 GS Adv on the road all over Europe - I have no desire to take it off road (unless you count the Stella Alpina as mild offroad, in the dry) although many do

I have ridden many other bikes offroad - but weight and agility is the key, why struggle with a 250kg machine?.............When I can ride a 70kg Trials bike instead

Good on you, if you want to, but stop telling the rest of us, that we have the Adv bike and should ride it offroad, it's not compulsory................in the same way that if I ride a sports bike, I don't have to do a track day?

Yes it's the later double articulated Paralever type & a lot more fragile than the early Mono's.
Lightness is everything.

Lightness with Grunt is a Scratcher!

Standard 100GS paralever but I'm suprised the rear brake works with the cable/lever arranged like that. The blue. and white one stuck in the mud has an 1100 GS swinging arm fitted which is supposed to be stronger and has a disc brake.
