New ADV bike from SWM

Post by Dutchgit »

Haven't heard this before nor seen it on here.

SWM launched a new Adv bike. The RS650 Superdual

According to the article i've seen (in Dutch) is weighs 159 kg without fuel.
Tank can hold 19 litres, seat height is 89 cm.
Comes standard with protection bars, luggage racks (no cases) bash plate and a centre stand.
Price around 7000 Euros ex tax.

it's got 17" rear and 19" front wheels. Not my choice but good for all sorts really.

Good middle of the road combination which these AdvenTourers will always be.
I run 19 / 17 on a 650 Versys & it neutralises the typical oversteer of most 2 fat 17's.

7,000 euros /exchange rate =4,965 GBP + 20% = 5,958 GBP.
It's sub 6k which is where a medium weight twin needs to be to generate significant sales.
Shineray money works wonders. (thumbs)

One manufacturer different molds....lots of cheap crap...

Ask yourself how many chinese bikes from 3 yeara ago are still running or didnt have major faults.

Give it 5 years and maybe ....I remember the cheap polski fiats from the 80s....made in poland and now look what they can produce .

Took big money from major euro manufacturers to change all that but they are being bought now by china corp....

And what a huge price ......some folks have too much money ..aka 50+ guys...owe yes major abr market who drool over old dr and xr bikes and slag new more andvanced better bikes off..
