africa twins..second hand prices
africa twins..second hand prices
currently second hand africa twin are being advertised at v high prices...some high mileage obviously crap ones are being advertise at £3.to £4 k....i was wondering if the eventual launch of the new a twin will dump a load of older ones on the market..resulting in more realistic second hand prices
Re: africa twins..second hand prices
I don't think it will drive the price of the old AT down. Different bikes really, ridden by different folk.
I'd think the the new Africa twin will affect the sales of Honda sports/naked bikes more, because Honda will now have a new valid 1000cc "Adventure Tourer" and some folk are very brand loyal.

That's stupid money!
I was chatting in the bar on Saturday night with a friend I'd not seen in ages and it turns out he's recently made a drunken eBay purchase of a 1000cc Katana in need of some serious tidying up but with spare engine, flat side carbs, wheels, forks and swinging arm for just under 2 grand. Now I know which I think is the better buy because he can sell the spare parts for about half the purchase price and use the money to sort the cosmetics (thumbs)
Proper muscle bike even though I never liked the Katana when it came out.

I was in Corfu last week and there are loads of old AT and Alps out there. If you really wanted one and didn't mind restoring it then a trip over and a ride back be a good plan.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.
