I had a look at the bikes at the show and didn't get drawn towards giving them a lot of time
The first glance at the engine in the 650 made me look twice to see how many cylinders it had due to the width of the engine cases
Styling was poor
It didn't look great but like any bike you should ride it before deciding

Disagree-for riders of a certain vintage, the original SWM logo represents top quality, super fast enduro exotica.CRAIGREVO wrote:
They seriously need to pay a graphic designer to bring there logo into this century. :pinch:
I almost used that massively overused word..."iconic"! (thumbs)

Yep, I'm also old enough to remember them as competitive scrambler machines... No MX in those days :whistle:johnnyboxer wrote:Cashing in on the great SWM heritage
Why can't more bikes have a seat like this one too??
Re: SWM 650R available
B)
 Must agree with you there Steve I do prefer a proper saddle to a designer's excuse for a seat still like the look of that Scrambler mind

SWM 650R available
Had a chat to the guy on the stand.
The bikes clearly look like the pre bm era huskys which is exactly what they are in their entirety.
They were always rated at that time so there will be nothing wrong with them now, albeit everything has moved on a bit in styling etc but not everyone is that concerned with the latest whizzbang tech.
£5000 for the 500 4t.
I asked the guy about development and when swm got involved with the takeover, the plans for future development were part of the package which does give them a bit to work with (though still behind)
Nice guy to talk to, hope it goes well for em.
