I want to buy a bike for my gf, she does not have a license but will be sitting her CBT in a few weeks so will be going for a 125cc first.

She is small and when she rode my DRZ her feet would not touch the floor so will need a smaller bike.

So far i have narrowed it down to the following

AJP125

Looking for light weight, easy handle, low maintenance & can take a few drops :pinch: (thumbs)

Yes Van Van looks great value but i dont think it would be better for a enduro type bike as this is the plan for her to get into enduro type riding

Looks more a daily compute tarmac only type bike, also back brake is from the 1700 hundreds :whistle:

I saw an AJS 125 cruiser in a low speed (30 mph or less) shunt with the back of a car, it disintegrated!

Thanks for info but she will not be interested in a cruiser anyway, just had a reply of someone who owned a Rieju Tango and said the build quality was shocking. Shame as that seemed the bike right for her

There was a Dutch guy on the HISS last week, he had ridden his VV to the event and was riding the trails just fine, albeit a little more slowly than some. Tall guy too, but he seemed fine.

For a shorter novice rider, it would be perfect to gain confdence on... My six pennyworth

I love the look of the Rieju Tango I have to say, neat and tidy, but having seen a 12 month one in Wolvo last year, they looked like Chinese tat on build I agree. Shame really...

Wes if that's A1 motorcycles that van van is the one my mrs had whilst she was learning. Maintained and service by yours truly, it's a good bike.

Yes thats the one, i took the photo for an example of ebay.

Looks ok but i take it has 17s front and rear and read drum type brake.

Maybe it might be the right bike and i am underestimating it on its looks but really i think a more enduro style bike will suite her to gain practice and build up a little basic technical riding skills like up/down hills riding over fallen tree and other such things as they come as there is a good area where i live i can take her and will be ideal in winter due to the mud

next year i will take the bikes in my van and have a few weeks riding in east europe somewhere so looking for such bike. Maybe AJP125?
