As an aside, how do you get on with the weight of the Tenere? When I had mine I could never get used to the 'top heavy' feel of it when I was on the trails.

Why? I would suggest the Super Tenere is the one you meant (that is,if you're referring to competitors to the CRF1000L - can't quite bring myself to call it the @)
As for the Ten, it's great although admittedly no GP450 or 690.
