Re: The new AJP PR7 Adventure
I was looking at these at torque racing services and the 8,500 seems a great price for a rally race bike ready . I dont think the t7 tenere will be priced as good and the 701 with screen extras fitted will bring you in at over 10,000 . Its a great bike with everything already in place its just the network for parts what would put me off. A bike like this is made to be raced and everyone knows that raced bikes often take a beating and parts could be a bit far between . If using it to travel aswell parts could be found difficult to source . The engine parts will be easier to source wether you look for swm ajp or husky parts they are all the same engine from what i have read on both bikes ... i think a tenere 660 would be better suited for traveling and as said above a ktm or husky 501 would be a suited bike to race. When these were first in concept i was new to the adventure biking world and i thought i would happily have one of these but now a few years in iam sad to say things have changed ... great bike never the less just not for me
All things built not bought . The only way is adventure .

Re: The new AJP PR7 Adventure
I had a good look around the PR7 Adventure at the Motorcycle Live Exibition in Birmingham yesterday.
An enjoyable hour spent in the company of AJP UK’s director Bob Allan, educated me about the bikes detailing, spec and the Portuguese manufacturers history.
Sitting on the bike, I immediately appreciated its slim rally style ergos enabled by the rear under seat 17 litre fuel tanks (like the Husqvarna 701 but with the benefit of the fuel filler positioned at the front avoiding contamination from any crap thrown up from the back wheel and no need to remove any rear luggage to fuel up).
The hand build feel of the bike made a strong impression on me so I’m very keen for a test ride, both on and off road to appreciate its reportedly silky smooth Husqvarna engine, confidence inspiring chassis and suspension.
I’ve since been trawling the web for reviews which are though minimal, are all positive.
Apparently a large percentage of units manufactured are exported to Oz where they’re held in high regard for robustness and reliability.
Maybe this might just be the ideal TET bike I’ve been looking for......
