Anyone know of a fix for the Speedo drive for the 350 or any cheap ones about?

Mine gave up the first day of my three day trip around Wales with the Mrs, lucky I'd mounted my new GPS :(

I don't have many pictures and none of the Mrs on her bike, they're all on her camera, but here's a couple.

Claerwen Reservoir? looks like a great weekend (thumbs)

Is it the cable or the nylon gear inside the speedo drive?

That's the one Bob, was a bit gutted to get to the other end and find a sign saying no public vehicular rights of way past this point so had a bit of a job chasing the Mrs down to meet her at tregaron, i was about an hour and a half behind her once i got back to tarmac and pulled into tregaron about a mi Ute behind her even after going through devils bridge, i like to think it's because i got the wee bike shifting but it's probably because she stopped to take a million photo's up the valley

I haven't stripped it yet but at a guess I'd say the drive gear, i know Hugo fixed it before and it was a gradual drop off of the Speedo against real speed rather than a sudden it doesn't work. I thought i was going a bit quicker than 35, popped the GPS on and found i was doing 65 :woohoo:

It's usually the nylon gear inside the housing that goes, the Chinese were selling dirt cheap copies on ebay a couple of weeks ago but they all seem to have disappeared now Don't know if Mr Suzuki's lawyers clobbered them).

Last year I managed to source a couple from a German company but it wasn't as cheap as the Chinese ones. If you want one I can sell you it at cost.

cheers, Bob.

EDIT

I just found the Chinese ones, I can't compete with that price
