Stolen bike in Bradford, UK 13th April 2014

Post by Harty »

As taken from the ADV forum from Mitch(owner of Rally Raid):

Can people in the UK, especially Yorkshire area please keep eyes peeled for a Swiss registered KTM 690 Enduro that was stolen today in Bradford on Sunday 13th April.
It is owned by a young swiss guy, Luca Reber, who dropped in at Rally-Raid HQ last week on the first leg of his RTW trip, and this is not what he(we) wanted.
It is a mainly black 690 Enduro with our EVO1 black tanks fitted, and aluminium panniers, reg no. TI 33511

Real crappy to hear this Harty

Feel for the lad

As you say, not the best start to a RTW trip

Hope there's a good outcome for this

Not again. This is becoming one of the very few countries to avoid on a rtw. Sad days indeed.

Same thing happened in Ireland some time back too, guy came off the ferry in Dublin, parked his bike with all his gear, money, everything on it and came back 2 hours later, not a trace and never seen since. Its a common problem in cities all over.

Looks like the magic of Facebook has worked. I've just posted to him where it has been seen parked up.

A few friends have had bikes nicked in Bradford . Always by kids who just rag them around waste land .

If this bike as been seen in the area mentioned that's close to the Uni and most of this area is student flats with a mix of DHSS flats. Most of the flats will be empty for Easter as the students head home for the holidays.

It's a large Asian area and they don't steel motorbikes. There is however a very rough area near by called Canterbury Av area. This is a few minutes walk away from where the bike as supposed to have been spotted. They don't park them on there own door step . If it's no longer parked there just keep looking within half a mile of this sighting .
