Re: what have you done to your bike today??
Had planned a day of work for Monday but......
Day started sunny and I had done the garden the previous weekend.
Had a bit of misfire, so sunny day on the patio yesterday.
Swapped the ignition coils with spares and cleaned up all the connectors, cleaned the injector and throttle position switch connections, checked out all the plug lead connections. Quite amazing how much stuff gets in these places. Checked over my spares to make sure I had injector seals and clips as these will now come out for a clean. Have a spare injector rail so its getting cleaned and painted and swapped over at the same time.
Changed oil and noticed a very very slight weep at the sump plate joint.
In last two months had done a raft of jobs like new fan, brake switches, the so called dreaded rear engine seal and new clutch and all the other seals and also new big bearing in the final drive so the sunny day decided a check over was a good idea.
A slight and recent weep at the sump plate took a quarter turn on a bolt that has not been off in my ownership, then the play in the rear brake pedal was sorted, tightened up despite all washers present and again not touched in the last job. So checked all the rest but all in order now.
It will be turning 80,000 this week and will see 90,000 this year too.
Bike running sweet now. Its got a lot of miles to do this summer...including ABR Draperstown.

Stock is way under sprung and can't achieve the required sag.Stewie wrote:Just wondering what you don't like about the stock spring vs aftermarket ?bond_yzf wrote:Fork spring change

Re: what have you done to your bike today??
Got a bit carried away on my pre MOT checkover. Ended up changing rear wheel and sprocket carrier bearings, greased swingarm and headstock bearings, flushed brake fluid, fitted hagon shock, Leo Vince exhaust and a few other farkles.
Hope it passes
