Received HEED crashbars. Went with my son to install them, but engine bolts wouldn't even move. Got some penetrating oil from local shop, couple of taps with hammer - nothing. May take few days to loosen them without any damage. Got some advice from FB Practical Sportsbikes group. I'll try as much as i can.Image

Just a suggestion - Run the bike till its up to working temperature, then try removing the bolts.

Two days later - still nothing. They will come out at some point. No rush. Just received email that windscreen is ready for collection from local post office.

Is a good tactic.

Try also Wurth Rostoff Ice or similar, which combines very cold dry ice with penetrating oil. Ideal for use in situations where you can't play a naked flame on the offending bolt (originally developed for bomb-disposal!). Try an initial tightening move after application to help 'crack' the bond.

Greetings,

In preparation for next weekend's Peaky Boulders I fitted the roadmap and phone holders to the Pampera, changed the gearbox oil to try and improve finding neutral and lubed the chain. Hope to be out tomorrow to test dummy the roadmap details.

You could say the Barkbusters that had been fitted to the Street Scrambler I bought weren’t fitted correctly, the dealer was goin to remove them but I said I’d sort them as I’ve fitted quite a few sets of Barkbusters, so I bought the correct clamps & sorted them this morning.

What did you change the gb oil to?

Said it before, and I'll say it again...the Rock Oil 10W-40 mineral engine oil made mine the best it's ever been.
Still needs regular bleeding, mind.

Enjoy the ride!
