Foot pegs also here.
My old Honda NX4 had very small and not usable foot pegs.
No one sells aftermarket parts for this model.
So I looked at foot pegs for newer Hondas. And they looked similar.
So I took the chance to buy a set on Ebay for €32, incl shippping, on WISH.
They where a little bit (2-3 mm) wider than the mounting on my bike.
* That was fixed with angle grinder.
The part that controls the position of the pegs did not match at all.
* Cutting of a part to get close
* Carefully grinding of ½ mm at a time. To get the pegs horizontal
The old springs were to wide to fit the new pegs
* I cut one spring into two parts. One part for each peg
Result: An old Honda NX4 from 2003 with good pegs. Time to hit the trails
(Adventure Country Track in Portugal)
what have you done to your bike today??

Great work, what sort of paint have you used on those?
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Re: More foot pegs
Good effort, would XR400 pegs not fit?

Re: what have you done to your bike today??
did the similar wrap around welding job on my BMW pegs one of the best value trail mods you can do i would say, makes a huge difference to ride feel. I have been tempted by the ching chong alloy pegs too for a different bike, take a real good look at em and keep an eye on em, pegs are a major component under loads especially on the trail and the thought of a failure out on the trail whilst stood up does not bare thinking about. I broke one once just sheared off across the pivot hole unknown aftermarket job on a Gas Gas in a very minor ice fall on tarmac, steel will bend and twist a lot before shearing off, also out on a trip most farmers have steel welding capability, just saying.

Sprayed the shortened sidestand I’ve made as the TTR has been lowered by 50mm I’ve kept the original stand in case next owner wants to return it to standard, this is a spare one from eBay.
***just like Britney Spears oops I did it again……sold the Scrambler & as of now there may not be a replacement***

Re: what have you done to your bike today??
I want to some tests.
1) GPS app on phone
How well does it work in reality. I have tried on an old phone in a water proof holder (Shad).
But if it is sunny, the sun is reflected in the plastic.
And the screen is rather small.
I have an old Android tablet. Small. 8½ " ??? Low on memory. Android + all mandatory apps => almost no internal memory left.
But it has a memory card with a lot of memory. Processor is hardly doing anything. But it can be tested without spending big bucks.
2) Video filming.
I like to take normal photos. I have done since the time of dia pictures. Anyone that remember Kodacrome and Ectacrome ??
But I have only done some small test of video. And never edited video films.
I have no plans to publish on Youtube. But I maybe would like to have something for my own memories.
So I want to test filming. And even more : Editing videos. What SW to use and...
I had some left overs since before. But I also bought
* two camera mounts
* one video camera
* One "ball" mount that is supposed to be mounted on GPS with small bolts.
It does not make much sense to do things like this. But I think it is fun. And a cheaper way to learn.
Than to head direct for SW motech, Touratech and others.
And I do not have a garage to use for restoring and building bikes any more. But use the time to ride. But some "mini" stuff is always good to do.
Very cheap stuff, just to test. If I feel that this is something that I am going to use, than I will bye "real" stuff.
1)
The ball was 1" (Normal) But the camera mount was 3/4". So some work was needed.
There are no threaded holes on the tablet => Super glue.
App: I get different advice from everyone. But google maps, of course. Than I selected Osmand. I have tried it some. It is free in is base version. and use OSM maps. I do not want any monthly subscription for any SW. For now at least.
The mount I mounted at the mirror. If I mounted the tablet in the middle. It would cover the instruments.
2)
The mounting was straight forward. I mounted it with one of the bolts for the handlebar.
For SW I do not know anything. But I read some tests. And I have downloaded
VLC media player. That can play and cut out parts of a video film
Gihosoft Video Editor. That can do some basic editing.
So. Let the test starts.
(The SW testing part will be done during some rainy days)
I will hopefully find my way to nice places, take some video on the way. And us my normal Camera (Nikon), when I am there
The wires will be mounted more appropriate. With same zip ties
