I did Jim.You know me for doing a deal.

I did a px with a Yamaha dealer for this 2011 3600 mile Tenere which had full luggage and centre stand and Yamaha handguards which i sold on e-bay so it cost me nothing to change.

I've not done anything today but yesterday I took the tank from my Norton to be stripped and resprayed then have transfers put on it and finally lacquered. The side panels went as well but they're only small and pretty insignificant in the greater scheme of things.

That lot will be at the painters for weeks because I've said there's no real rush to get it back so now I need to set up a dummy tank in the roof of the workshop and run a feed to the twin fuel lines, throw some oil in the bike and start it :)

Once that small hurdle has been passed I need to register the bike and make sure everything is ready for an mot once the parts are back from being painted and get it road legal ready for next spring.

Have you used that mix before Gary - work OK? My TKC 80 front has about 25 years left on it, my back has about 12 and a half miles ;)

I'm umm-ing and arr-ing about trying one of Conti's new TKC70's on the arse end, someone's got to try 'em first I guess?

Yes i have used this mix before on my other Tenere works well for me.I also have a F800Gs which i run the same mix the rear k60 on the 800 is a 150 size 130 on the Tenere so the tread pattern is slightly different it has a centre band which i find is smoother running on the road but not so good off road if its muddy.
I have done 5k on the k60 on my 800 and its showing very little sign of wear.
I found the 150 k60 a pig to fit the 130 on the rear of the Tenere not too bad.

Running the same combo on my f800gs and the tenere before so pretty much same as gary

Combo on the 800 has 9000miles ish and the rear k60 has around 1mm left, with this sort of life i wont be using anything else, just changed the tkc front for a k60 to see what its like
