They have it on test in this weeks MCN and after looking at it at this years bike show, I'd sell my dog and missus for a fully spec'd up one!!

It looks a bit like a Transformer? I'm sure its a great bike, I'm sure its expensive, I'm sure its heavy..... But seriously, would you really want to head off down miles of rough dirt roads on it or negotiate it through the manic streets & park it overnight in say Bangkok or Delhi?
I don't call banging out 800 miles a day across Europe much of an adventure. Each to his own eh? XTz660 and a whole load of cash to travel on?

£12k for the basic model, £16k for the one with all the monkeys and parrots and then £750 for the luggage and £600 for the Satnav..... It's a lot of cash!
But it will go pretty much anywhere. Obviously it won't climb a clay hill like a MotoX bike, straddle wet logs like a trials bike, cross the US like an Electra Glide or last an event like an enduro bike, but it will cope with most that the open road (regardless of the material it's made of!) will throw at it.

Just playing devils advocate but wouldn't a Versys or V strom also do 110mph on the motorway, cruise a gravel track and in the right hands handle a lot more? I'd love a GS but just can't justify the immense cash compared to something else that'll do the same and leave you enough ££ to buy something else or do whatever with. I know its an old argument but it's one that wont go away either....

I take my hat off to the designers at BMW . You took one ugly looking bike and managed to make it look even worse !

They will be a job awaiting you at Honda if you ever decide to leave .

That's true Will, I know what you're saying a do agree with you, but if I had the cash spare, I'd have trouble not seriously considering buying one!!
