Which is faster...DOHC GS1200 or KTM 990adv?.....Only one way to find out....FIGHT!!!

Well coz this year I've owned both, I know the answer....I've took both across Germany on the Autobahns
With out doubt the GS is faster, more stable and has more torque.
So this will be a short thread because everyone knows its true and no further comment is needed!

Well if I was interested in blatting along autobahns I'd choose a Fireblade or R1 any day over a GS.

My KTM will take me down to the Alps or Pyrenees at a decent lick and then p*ss all over your tractors when the going gets rocky

to be fair if thats your thing ..i would have thought a better comparason would be with the new 150hp ktm adv against the new bmw gs or is that not logical ?

It's pointless for the KTM mob to keep saying the 990 is better off road, because we all know it is.
I am talking about those long motorway miles we all have to make to get us to the interesting parts of Europe.
Both bikes can deal with the gravel roads and the less than perfect back roads in remote parts of the continent.
I don't have a desire to destroy my 14k motorcycle by taking it up lanes and tracks that only someone with very deep pockets or much better skills than me would go. I have other more suitable bikes for that.
