Re: New CCM
On the point of BMW dealers serviceing a CCM because it was or is one of their engines. Aren't they locked into an agreement with the almighty BMW Oberlieutenant that a BMW dealership is exclusively BMW & that no other dross is allowed accross the threshold for fear of loosing said dealer contract. SHMG.

i was told the bigest sticking point is the bmws diagnosics dont match the ccm ecu which is built for the bike ..which is a problem of course for diagnotic plugs
but little else ..iwould think ..it aint going to stop a oil change or a valve check .......
they are putting a network in place and im sure negotions and who it is will be finalised .....but .. you can ring them and approach them and ask questions ...if the person doesnt know they will try and find out
thats as much as i know .im afraid
whats the wether forcast ..wheres me map

Re: New CCM
I believe that BM dealers can now sell used bikes of other makes taken in part exchange--so I presume that they must be allowed to service other makes. I guess we'll see whats in the warranty restrictions to see whether "other dealers" can service the engine. I guess the sticking point is the ECU hookup software. The other point is the labour cost for the shiny showroom--BM dealers are right up there!
My local KTM dealer services other makes--and did sell Husqvarnas for a while (which used the engine)--lets hope that they take on CCM!
