Triumph Scrambler - Your Thoughts Please

Post by MarkN » Wed May 15, 2013 3:47 pm

I'm thinking about a second bike and I really like the Triumph Scrambler. I only want it for "local" riding and just going for a ride on sunny days and summer evenings etc.

Does anyone here own one? What are your thoughts on the bike?

Is there anything else I should look at in this "classic" type vein that you'd recommend?

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark.

Great choice I think :)

I'd love one in the garage.
So many ways to make it your own style too if you like that kind of thing.
I'd go old school.

Don't reckon you can go far wrong.
And after the GSA it'll feel like a 250 even though they are quite heavy.

Cheers
Tony

I have one,as soon as they came out I wanted one! It is a stunning looking bike and with TORS pipes fitted,it sounds fantastic. It will do 50mpg,cruise all day at 90mph and is very comfortable over distance.A lack of 6th gear is the only downside, constantly trying to find it for the first few weeks is a pain.Build quality is not the best but keep on top of the cleaning and it will be fine. Had mine fitted with a small screen to deflect wind blast and a one tooth larger front sprocket to lower the revs at speed, both mods recommended. Hope this helps, cheers,Bladesman.
