first motorcycle you ever rode

Mine was a Puch pedal start my uncle collected (he was a scrap merchant). I was about 10 and it was the best thing ever.

Started on one of my Dad's castoff Plunger Bantam.
Then @ 16 years old bought a 1956 Triumph T110.

Made famous in the States By James Dean (pre Porsche Spyder days).
He used to call it his "Tee One Ten"

the first motorised 2 wheels was my Vespa PK50, my first and only motorbike was/is my GS1150, only took me 24 years of scooter ownership!!

Other than kiddies bikes in a controlled environment at shows, etc, this was the first one I rode. That's my Dad sitting on it. It's a 100cc Yamaha



I do have a pic of me sitting on it, but you are not getting to see it! I'm wearing a bright yellow T'shirt and pink socks (mid 80's - the audience of top of the pops looked exactly the same), and when I put it on the sv650.org forum they took the piss something chronic! Said I was a lovely little girl and they did a convincing job of the sex change.

This is the first pillion ride I really remember was this one (yes, that's me this time). Norton Commando 750. I loved that bike and if I win the lottery tomorrow there will be one in my garage.



First road legal bike at 16 was an MT5 (picture not mine but identical)

My mates malaguti 50cc mini dirt bike, we were still at primary so must have been under 10.

At 17 I was let loose on the roads on a Honda C70, in hammerite gold. I loved that thing, still fancy the idea of doing an adventure on one today.

I also started on a Phillips Gadabout, had Zundapp and BSA scooters then a Norton Jubilee then my first 'real' motorbike - a Vincent Comet cost £10 as a heap of bits, built it up and rode it throughout my time at uni sold it for £100 when I left. Even used it for riding the lanes.
