Well after much deliberation I decided this was probably the best bike to fit my needs and budget. I wanted something to cover the miles to get to rallys (I would like to do Ullapool this year) but then wanted a decent offroader for when I got there :cheer:

After riding the Pegaso in Yorkshire I realised a 600ish cc bike would suit me and are fine on the road, but the difference decent suspension makes, and ideally wanted something with 18" and 21" wheels to give me a decent choice of tyres.

I found this one locally on gumtree, just over 5000 miles 53 reg and the previous keeper Humberside Police all for £1500, compared to a ktm 640 it seems a better bet with a similarly specced bike going for nearer £2250+

First impressions are that it is a bit high geared, doing about 25mph in first and 80+ in 4th let alone 5th. Nice smooth willing engine, hopefully economical. Suspension is great, just need to read up on adjusting it to suit me, brakes are fantastic, wide footpegs are brill, seat is not so good, maybe an airhawk for distances. But the best thing is it rides like a proper offroader allbeit a bit heavy

Plans for the bike include, fitting a 12v socket, building some sort of luggage rack, (advice needed)and maybe a removeable screen of some sort.

I think this is a different one, but I know the one you mean, wasn't it initially in Jersey or somewhere then available in Staffordshire on ebay.

Looks good, :) I was looking at them before I got my Pegaso, but the amount of road work (250+ a week) swung it in the Pegaso favor :) .
How does it handle on the track?.
