I thought the Versys was the only one in the Kwaker range with side mounted shock?CRAIGREVO wrote:That's a ninja though, not a versys.
They were really none helpful with me hence the Tiger, had boxers before lots of miles but the tiger has real soul, what an engine cheers SpudAlphadog43 wrote:Rondini thats a sweet looking Versys.
Just to redress the balance and give credit where it's due I found Clarkes BMW at Rednal to be really helpful, I had an extended test ride of about 3 1/2 hours to really get a feel for the boxer engine before I bought one.

The clue is in the swingarm, the Versys uses a gullarm, whilst the er6 uses a much spindlier swinger.
@ Mark 1150, the ER6 / ER6f have side mounted shocks also, sharing the same engine as the versys but in slightly different states of tune. The F version is tuned for slightly more power, whereas the Versys is tuned for torque. Having ridden both the Versys certainly has the more exciting motor, giving more mid range punch. Since we sit constantly at part throttle instead of pinning it, its the more useable of both types.
